Beacons is the most generous free plan in this category, and the one most worth reading carefully. These figures are from their own pricing page, checked on 12 October 2026.
What it costs
| Beacons Free | Beacons Creator Plus | Neroex | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $0 | $30 | Rs 0 |
| Fee on what you sell | 9% | 0% | No selling at all |
| Custom domain | No | Yes | Yes, free |
| Media kit | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Auto-DM replies | Yes | Yes | No |
At roughly Rs 84 to the dollar, Creator Plus is about Rs 2,500 a month, or Rs 30,000 a year, before the foreign transaction fee most Indian cards add.
The number that matters is 9%
The free plan is genuinely good. It gives you a link page, an auto-updating media kit, auto-DM replies and course hosting, and it does not ask for a card.
It charges 9% of everything you sell.
That is a different shape of price from a subscription, and it is worth doing the arithmetic rather than reading it as "free". If you sell Rs 50,000 of digital products in a month, the free plan costs you Rs 4,500 that month. At that volume Creator Plus is cheaper, which is exactly how it is designed.
Neither is wrong. It is a real product taking a real cut for providing checkout, hosting and payouts, which cost real money. The point is only that "free" and "9% of your revenue" are both true at the same time, and the second one is the one that scales with your success.
Where Beacons is the better choice, plainly
If you sell through your link page, use Beacons. Digital products, courses, memberships, merch. They have built the whole stack: checkout, video hosting, payouts in a day.
Neroex has no payment rail at all. No money moves through us, and we will not pretend otherwise until it does. If selling is the main job your link page does, this comparison ends here and the answer is Beacons.
They also have auto-DM replies, which we do not and will not have until Meta's app review allows it.
Where we are the better choice
If what you sell is yourself
The thing most Indian creators are selling through a link in bio is not a product. It is a brand collaboration, and the buyer is a brand manager who needs to know three things: what you have made, who watches it, and what you charge.
Beacons has a media kit. We have a media kit, plus a rate card with per-deliverable pricing in rupees, usage rights, exclusivity terms, revisions included, advance terms, and a stated barter position. That last one exists because in India a free product from a brand is taxable income under Section 194R, and no tool built outside India has anywhere to put your position on it.
If you want your own web address
Beacons puts a custom domain on the $30 plan. We include it free, which matters because a domain you own is the only version of your audience that survives any of us going away.
If you are already earning commission elsewhere
If you use affiliate links, you have an arrangement with a merchant and a commission rate. We store and serve your link exactly as you pasted it, and take nothing from it, because there is no mechanism by which we could. Our shoppable reels tag your own links.
Price, in rupees
$30 a month is a US price. For a creator in India earning Rs 40,000 to Rs 2,00,000 a month from brand work, Rs 30,000 a year on a link page is a real decision, and it is being made in a currency that moves against you.
What they have that we have not built
Said plainly, because a comparison that only lists wins is an advertisement:
- Checkout, payouts and anything that moves money
- Courses with video hosting
- Auto-DM replies and email automations
- An AI assistant
- Memberships and BNPL
Four of those cost real money to serve. That is why they are behind a plan there, and why they are absent here rather than capped.
How to choose
Ask what your link page is for.
Selling things to your audience — Beacons, and look honestly at whether you are past the point where 9% costs more than $30.
Getting hired by brands — us. The rate card, the work grid with real view counts and the brand brief all exist for that conversation, and all of them are free.
Both — run both. Your Beacons page for the shop, your Neroex page as the link in your bio with your rates on it. They are not the same job and nothing stops you doing both.
Get your page. Free forever, no card, and you can keep whatever else you are using.
Common questions
- Is Beacons free?
- There is a Free Forever plan, and it is a real one. The cost is in the selling: their free plan charges a 9% seller fee on everything you sell through it. Creator Plus at $30 a month drops that to 0%.
- How much does Beacons cost in India?
- Creator Plus is $30 a month, billed in US dollars. At roughly Rs 84 to the dollar that is about Rs 2,500 a month, or Rs 30,000 a year, before the foreign transaction fee most Indian cards add.
- Which is better for selling digital products, Neroex or Beacons?
- Beacons, clearly. Neroex has no payment rail at all, so it cannot take money for you. If selling courses or templates through your link page is the main thing you do, Beacons is built for it and we are not.
- Does Beacons have a free custom domain?
- No. Their own pricing page lists Free Custom Domain as a Creator Plus feature, so it is $30 a month. Neroex includes a custom domain on the free plan, and Linktree does not sell one at any price.
